Chocolate a Superfood?

We all love Chocolate... and we all know that too much is bad for us, right? Well, I learned from David Wolfe, the Super-Food guru that there is Chocolate and there is CHOCOLATE!. Read on...

Chocolate is made from the Cacao bean.

Unfortunately most Cacao is processed with alkali and then sugar and other junk is added. Raw Cacao is a Super-Food, higher in anti-oxidents than Blueberries and other anti-oxident rich foods. When combined with other raw natural Super-Foods, it makes a delicious, energizing and healthy treat.

I got Raw Cacao from David and made the most delicious Chocolate treat imaginable and both Kathryn and I love it and it gives us energy!

Below is the recipe and the link to David wolfe's website. Enjoy!

Mix together: 8 Tablespoons of Raw Cacao and 2 Tablespoons of Maca Root.
Add a little water at a time until you can stir this into a thick paste.
Stir in 4 Tablespoons of Raw Coconut Oil.
Stir in 4 Tablespoons of Raw Yacon Syrup.
Stir until all lumps have dissolved and you have a smooth paste like a thick creamy fudge.
Stir in 2 Tablespoons Raw Hemp seeds. (These add a little crunch and are high in Omega 3 & 6 oils).
Stir in 2 Tablespoons of Raw Bee Pollen (What do you think keeps those little Bees so busy buzzing around, it's chock full of energy)

Refrigerate.

You really only need to eat a Tablespoon of this in the afternoon for a quick "pick me up".

As I said, it tastes great and... it makes you feed good, too. Know why? Chocolate, especially Raw Cacao increases the Serotonin levels in the brain. Serotonin is the "feel good" neurotransmitter. And, guess what? Women don't have a large store of Serotonin. That's why women LOVE Chocolate... it really does make them feel good!

Enjoy!
