Greatest career success: Two published illustrated humor books: Rats Incredible and Bony Yoga; Don Schellie Award for best feature column in Arizona; leaving New York City after 17 years to pursue journalism career that included covering prairie chickens in rural New Mexico.

My greatest Personal Achievement: Finally accepting - and then loving - who I am.

How I make a difference in the world: My writing and art, with their unusual and often warped look at the world, arouse emotion and make people think. I've had folks laughing, crying and even so angry they wanted to hit me on the head with a hammer.
